A fresh and vibrant Viognier with peach, lemon peel and white blossom aromas and a touch of honey and white peach on the palate.
Viognier grapes were sourced from a single mountain side block in the Breedekloof.The site is north -west facing, which brings a large amount of sunlight, resulting in bright intense flavours. It is one of the highest sites for Viognier in the Cape at around 600 metres above sea level. Yields are naturally low at around six tonnes per hectare.
Tasting Notes: Intense, fragrant bouquet featuring lemongrass, lemon verbena, honeysuckle, and orange blossoms. Rich and aromatic with a full-bodied mouthfeel that maintains good freshness. Dominated by stone fruit, specifically peach and apricot, with subtle citrus and tropical notes.
Food Pairing: With is signature notes of peach, citrus, and white blossom, pairs excellently with aromatic, slightly spicy, and rich creamy dishes. Ideal pairings include Thai green curry, apricot-glazed roast chicken, creamy risottos, seafood (like scallops or salmon), and creamy cheeses.
