A Mediterranean red blend that captures the true art of living
The Art de Vivre Languedoc Rouge 2021 is a classic southern French blend of Syrah, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre, crafted by Gérard Bertrand as a tribute to the rich culture and landscapes of the Languedoc. Presented in the estate's signature natural clay bottle, inspired by the region's ancient amphorae, this wine reflects the warmth, generosity and authenticity of the Mediterranean. Hand-harvested fruit, careful maturation and eight months in oak create a wine that is generous, beautifully balanced and effortlessly enjoyable.
Tasting notes: Intense aromas of ripe red berries, black cherries and wild herbs are complemented by hints of sweet spice and subtle oak. The palate is rich and rounded, offering layers of juicy red and dark fruit supported by silky, well-integrated tannins. Notes of liquorice and Mediterranean herbs add complexity, while a gentle touch of oak brings depth without overshadowing the fruit. The finish is long, smooth and elegant, making this a wonderfully approachable expression of the Languedoc.
Food pairing: A generous Mediterranean red that is made for sharing around the table. Mediterranean Cuisine: Slow-roasted lamb with rosemary, ratatouille or Provençal vegetable dishes echo its herbal complexity and southern French character. Pasta: Rich beef ragù, baked lasagne or mushroom pappardelle pair beautifully with its rounded texture and savoury depth. Charcuterie & Cheese: Enjoy with artisan cured meats, mature Comté or aged Manchego for a relaxed Mediterranean-style feast.
